I absolutely like my job working at the factory.
I waited a long time before I had the chance to start working at the factory.
Jobs there are hard to get, because they are union jobs. Not many people leave a union job and it is virtually impossible to get fired. The factory where I work makes number four rebar. Number four rebar is used during concrete projects. You can use number four rebar with double loop wire ties in order to make structures for cement pour. Number four rebar is made of the best and most durable steel. My job at the plant is to feed pieces of steel into the machine that creates the different sizes of rebar. A lot of people might find their job boring, because I do the same thing over and over again. I don’t mind the monotony of the job. I have waited a long time to work at the factory and now that I am here, I’m not going to do anything to squander the opportunity. Yesterday I was talking to a guy in the break room and he wanted me to go outside with him to smoke a marijuana joint. We can’t smoke marijuana at work. There was absolutely no way that I was going to go outside with the guy. I think it’s nice to make friends at work and I could use a buddy or two, but I worked hard to get this job and there’s no way I am going to do something silly like smoke weed at work.
